What are DuoTrav Eye Drops?
 

DuoTrav contains the active ingredients travoprost and timolol . These eye drops are used to decrease pressure in the eyes of patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension. 

How does the active ingredients Travoprost and Timolol work?

Travoprost works by regulating the flow of fluid within the eye to maintain a normal pressure. 

Timolol works by blocking beta receptors in the eye which reduces the amount of aqueous humour that is produced.

Emergency supplys of DuoTrav:

DuoTrav is a prescription only medicine and an Emergency Supply can only be issued if you are currently being prescribed this medication by your GP.  You will need to fill out a questionnaire, which is then reviewed to make sure DuoTrav is a suitable treatment for you. You will also need to upload proof that you have used this item before. If your order is approved, your DuoTrav can be sent directly to you.

Always take this medication exactly as directed by your GP.

Keep out of sight and Reach of children.

If you are taking or using any new medications even over the counter medicines whilst using DuoTrav you should make your GP aware to prevent interactions.

How do I use DuoTrav Eye Drops?

DuoTrav must be used exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are unsure contact your GP.

Recommended starting dose is usually:

ONE drop in the affected eye(s) once a day
 

What are the side effects of DuoTrav Eye Drops?

Common side effects:

• Blurry vision

• Light sensitivity

• Headache

• Burning/stinging sensation

• Dry/irritated eyes

• Color change to your iris/eyelashes
